Account Deletion

Delete your SimplySend account.

You can delete your account from inside the SimplySend app, or request deletion by verifying your email here.

01 Delete from the app

This is the fastest way to delete your account. If you still have access to the SimplySend app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the SimplySend app on your phone
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Your account and associated data will be deleted immediately as described in section 03 below.

02 Request deletion by email

Use this option if you no longer have access to the SimplySend app. We'll send a verification link to the email on your account. Clicking that link will confirm and complete the deletion.

A verification email will be sent if an account with this address exists. The link expires in 24 hours.

03 What happens when you delete

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Here's what we delete and what we retain:

Deleted immediately

  • Your account information (name, email, password)
  • Your contact lists
  • Your Sender Name verification documents
  • Your managed service account configuration

Retained

  • Transaction and billing records
Required by Ghana's tax and business record laws.
This cannot be undone. Once your deletion is confirmed, your SimplySend account and the data listed above are removed permanently. Any remaining SMS credits are forfeited.
